Setup, Compatibility & Care
Getting Started: Wearing Your Puddle Suit
- Preparation: Ensure your child is wearing appropriate layers underneath, depending on the weather. As the suit is lightweight, thermal layers or warm clothing are recommended for colder days.
- Putting On: Unzip the suit fully. Guide your child's legs into the suit first, then their arms. The elasticated cuffs and waist will help secure the fit.
- Fastening: Zip up the suit completely. Ensure the hood is correctly positioned if needed.
Compatibility
This Puddle Suit is designed for unisex toddlers and kids, available in various sizes to fit different age groups (e.g., 12-18 months, 2-3 years, 3-4 years). It is intended to be worn over regular clothing, providing an external protective layer.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Regatta Puddle IV Puddle Suit:
- Washing: Machine wash cold (30°C) with a mild detergent. Close all zips and fastenings before washing.
- Avoid: Do NOT use bleach, fabric softeners, or harsh detergents, as these can damage the waterproof coating and taped seams.
- Drying: Line dry only. Do NOT tumble dry. High heat can compromise the waterproof membrane and DWR finish.
- Ironing: Do NOT iron.
- Dry Cleaning: Do NOT dry clean.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Re-proofing: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, you can restore water repellency using a DWR re-proofing product suitable for waterproof breathable fabrics.
