FAQs
What is the Texas Divan Bed Base made of?
The divan base is typically constructed from a solid timber frame, upholstered in your chosen fabric. The design features horizontal line detailing and hand-stitched elements.
How do I choose the right size for my room?
Measure your room dimensions and consider the size of your existing mattress. The Texas Divan Bed Base is available in standard UK sizes: Single, Double, King, and Super King.
Can I select a specific colour for the upholstery?
Yes, the Texas Divan Bed Base is available in a wide selection of 20 fabric colours to suit your personal style and bedroom decor.
Does the bed base come with storage options?
Yes, customisable storage options are available. You can typically choose from no drawers, two drawers (on one side or at the foot end), or four drawers, depending on the size and configuration.
Is a mattress included with the divan base?
No, the mattress is sold separately. The divan base provides a foundation for your mattress.
What is the warranty period for this bed base?
Specific warranty details are typically provided by the retailer. For premium handcrafted items, a manufacturer's warranty of at least one year is common.
How is the bed base delivered?
Delivery is usually via a two-person team to your room of choice. Depending on the size, it may arrive in sections. Assembly of a headboard, if purchased, is usually required.
Troubleshooting
Uneven mattress support
Ensure the divan base is on a level surface and all legs (if applicable) are securely attached and at the same height. Check that the mattress is the correct size for the base.
Headboard not aligning correctly
Verify that the headboard is designed for divan bases and that you are using the correct pre-drilled holes on the base. Ensure all bolts and screws are tightened firmly but do not overtighten.
Storage drawers are stiff or difficult to open/close
Check for any obstructions inside the drawer runners or around the drawer itself. Ensure the base is level, as an uneven base can cause drawers to misalign. If the issue persists, inspect the runners for damage.
Fabric appears soiled
Gently spot clean the affected area with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Blot the area dry and allow it to air dry completely. Avoid excessive moisture.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: While the divan base itself is a single unit (or split for larger sizes), attaching a headboard (if purchased separately) typically involves screwing it into pre-drilled holes on the base. Ensure all fittings are secure. Assembly instructions are provided with the product.
Compatibility: This divan bed base is designed to support standard mattresses. It is compatible with all mattress types, including memory foam, hybrid, and traditional sprung mattresses. Ensure the mattress size selected matches the divan base size (e.g., single, double, king).
Care: To maintain the appearance of the fabric upholstery, regularly vacuum the surface with an upholstery attachment. For spills or stains, use a clean, slightly damp cloth with a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric. Rotate your mattress periodically to ensure even wear.
