Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease, oil, and dirt. Lightly abrading non-porous surfaces may improve adhesion, but is often not required. For best results, remove any rust from metal surfaces before application.
Compatibility: This paint is designed for direct application on uPVC, wood, metal, plastics, ceramics, masonry, and previously painted surfaces (ensure compatibility).
Application: Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply with a brush or roller in thin, even coats. Allow adequate drying time between coats, typically 1-2 hours, though this can vary. Avoid applying in very cold, hot, or humid conditions.
Care: Once fully cured, surfaces painted with Rust-Oleum Universal Gloss can be cleaned with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the gloss finish.
