No, Bedec Multi-Surface Paint is formulated to be applied directly to a wide variety of surfaces without a separate primer.
Yes, it is specifically designed to adhere to plastic, uPVC, and various metal surfaces.
Yes, it is a water-based, low VOC formula, making it much more suitable for indoor environments compared to solvent-based paints.
The paint typically dries to the touch within 2 to 4 hours depending on environmental conditions.
Yes, the formulation is compatible with many existing finishes, including weathered bitumen, tar varnish, and creosote.
Because it is a water-based paint, you can easily clean your brushes and rollers using only water.
Ensure the surface was thoroughly cleaned and degreased before application. If the surface is very glossy, perform a light sanding to create a profile.
Apply the paint in thin, even coats and avoid overworking the wet edge. Using a high-quality synthetic brush can also help improve leveling.
Avoid painting in direct sunlight or areas with high heat, as this can force the water-based binder to dry unevenly.
Before starting your project, ensure all surfaces are free of dust, debris, and oily residue. For previously painted surfaces, a light sanding will improve mechanical keying. While the paint is versatile, always perform a small test patch if applying over unknown or highly weathered coatings. Application can be performed via brush, roller, or spray. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use and store in a cool, dry place. For cleanup, simply wash your tools thoroughly with clean, warm water while the paint is still wet.
