Care and Maintenance
Regular care helps maintain performance and extend the life of your washing machine.
- Drum Cleaning: Periodically run a maintenance wash at a high temperature (e.g., 90°C) with no laundry to clean the drum and remove detergent residue.
- Detergent Drawer: Remove and clean the detergent dispenser drawer regularly to prevent mold buildup and blockages. Rinse under warm water.
- Door Seal: Wipe down the rubber door seal after each wash to prevent mold and mildew growth. Leave the door ajar after use to allow air circulation.
- Filter Cleaning: The machine has a drain pump filter, usually located at the bottom front. Clean this filter every few months to remove lint, coins, or small objects that could obstruct drainage. Refer to your user manual for exact instructions.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Descaling: In hard water areas, consider using a descaling product periodically to prevent limescale buildup, following the product manufacturer's instructions.
- Winter Care: If the machine is in an unheated area and temperatures might drop below freezing, consult the manual for specific winterization procedures to prevent damage from frozen water.
