While the GEL-1130 draws inspiration from Asics' running heritage and features GEL™ technology, it is primarily designed as a lifestyle or casual trainer. For serious running or high-impact sports, we recommend dedicated running shoe models from Asics.

The trainers typically feature a combination of a mesh upper for breathability and leather overlays for structure and durability. The outsole is made of rubber for traction.

Ensure there is a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe when standing. The heel should feel secure without slipping, and the width should allow your foot to rest comfortably without being constricted.

The mesh upper can be susceptible to water. While the rubber outsole offers some grip, these trainers are not waterproof and are best worn in dry conditions. If they get wet, allow them to air dry thoroughly.

The TRUSSTIC™ Support System is a component located in the midfoot of the shoe that provides stability by controlling torsion or twisting, helping to guide the foot through a more natural gait cycle.

Clean your trainers as needed, especially after significant use or exposure to dirt. Regular spot cleaning with a damp cloth can help maintain their appearance.

This can sometimes occur due to moisture or friction between components. Try powdering the insole with talcum powder or cornstarch, or ensure the laces are not tied too tightly.

The GEL™ cushioning may naturally compress with extensive use. Ensure the shoes are not used for activities exceeding their intended purpose (e.g., intense sports).

Ensure you have selected the correct size. If the shoes are new, they may require a break-in period. Wear them for short durations initially and gradually increase wear time.
