Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the toaster from its packaging. Retain all packaging for future transport or returns.
- Placement: Place the toaster on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface away from curtains, walls, or any flammable materials.
- First Use: Before toasting bread for consumption, perform a trial run. Plug the toaster into a standard wall outlet (compatibility details below), select a medium browning setting, and run one or two cycles empty. This burns off any manufacturing residues and odors.
Compatibility
This toaster is compatible with standard household electrical outlets (typically 220-240V, 50/60Hz in regions like the UK and Europe). Ensure your outlet matches the voltage specifications on the product label. It is designed for standard bread slice sizes; while it can toast various items, exceptionally thick artisanal bread or large bagels might be a tight fit.
Care & Maintenance
- Crumb Tray: After each use or daily, allow the toaster to cool completely. Then, pull out the removable crumb tray from the bottom, empty it into a bin, and wipe it clean with a damp cloth. Reinsert the tray securely.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers, as these can damage the finish. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Cord Tidy: Utilize the integrated cord tidy feature located at the base of the toaster to wrap and secure any excess power cord, keeping your counter tidy and preventing tripping hazards.
- Never: Do not immerse the toaster or its cord in water or any other liquid. Do not insert metal objects into the toasting slots.
