Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
Simply unbox your new DC Gaveler Low Skate Shoes, adjust the laces to your preferred tightness, and they are ready to wear. No specific break-in period is typically required, though some users might find them more comfortable after a few wears as they conform to the foot.
Compatibility:
These shoes are compatible with standard skateboard decks and are suitable for various skate styles, from street to park. For general use, they are a versatile casual shoe that pairs well with most everyday clothing.
Care:
- Cleaning: For surface dirt, gently brush off loose debris with a soft-bristled brush. For tougher stains on the textile or suede upper, use a specialized shoe cleaner or a mild soap diluted in water. Apply with a cloth and gently rub, then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes away from direct heat sources (like radiators or direct sunlight), as excessive heat can damage materials and adhesives. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles periodically to air out. You can use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside the shoes overnight to absorb odors.
- Lace Replacement: If laces become frayed or break, replace them with new ones of a similar length and thickness to maintain proper fit and appearance.
- Storage: Store shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
