FAQs

Can these cable ties be reused?

No, these are designed as single-use fasteners. Once locked, they must be cut to be removed.

Are these suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, they are suitable for general outdoor use, though they may eventually degrade over a long period if exposed to extreme weather conditions.

What is the maximum diameter these ties can bundle?

With a 100mm length, they are best suited for bundles up to roughly 25mm in diameter to allow for enough tail length to lock properly.

Do I need a special tool to install them?

No, they are designed for manual installation by hand. Side cutters are only needed to trim the excess tail.

Are the colors assorted?

Yes, the product includes a variety of colors within the package to assist with identification and organization.

Troubleshooting

The tie does not lock or slips backward

Ensure you are inserting the grooved side of the strap toward the locking mechanism in the head.

The tie is too short to go around my bundle

You can daisy-chain two or more ties together by inserting the tail of one tie into the head of another to create a longer loop.

Difficulty pulling the tie tight

Use needle-nose pliers to grip the end of the tail and pull for added leverage if the bundle is particularly dense.

Not intended for heavy-duty structural load-bearing

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To use these cable ties, simply thread the pointed end through the self-locking head and pull until your bundle is tight. These ties are compatible with most standard bundling requirements where the total diameter of the item does not exceed approximately 20-25 mm. To maintain their integrity, keep the ties stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as prolonged UV exposure can degrade the material over many years. When installing, avoid overtightening against sharp edges that could potentially nick or weaken the plastic strap.
