Product Information

Full details

The Regatta Professional Ablaze Softshell Jacket is designed for active adults who require a balance of movement, warmth, and protection during outdoor tasks. Its primary benefit is a flexible, two-layer fleece-bonded design that resists wind and water, making it a reliable layer for professional environments; however, users should note that while it is water-repellent, it is not categorized as a fully seam-sealed heavy-duty waterproof coat.

FAQs

Is this jacket fully waterproof?

It features a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish which is excellent for light rain and showers, but it is not a fully waterproof jacket designed for heavy, prolonged rain.

Can I put my company logo on this jacket?

Yes, it is explicitly designed for screen, transfer, and vinyl printing.

Is it machine washable?

Yes, machine wash on a cool setting; do not use fabric softeners.

Does it have an internal pocket?

No, it features two secure lower pockets on the exterior.

What is the weight of the fabric?

The fabric is a 265gsm softshell, providing a good middle-ground of durability and comfort.

Is the jacket unisex?

Yes, the design is suitable for both men and women, though sizing is based on standard adult apparel.

Troubleshooting

Water is soaking into the fabric rather than beading off

The DWR finish has likely worn off. Re-apply a dedicated DWR spray treatment to restore the water-repellent properties.

Inner fleece layer is pulling or pilling

Avoid washing with rougher garments or items with velcro that can snag the fleece fibers.

Difficulty with the front zipper

Check the inner zip guard to ensure it is not caught in the track and keep the zipper track clear of debris.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High versatility for corporate or workwear branding
Excellent balance of wind resistance and flexibility
Fleece backing adds significant comfort in cool weather
Includes protective features like an inner zip guard
Durable enough for daily professional use

Cons

DWR finish may require re-application over time
Not intended for prolonged heavy rain exposure
Limited to two lower pockets

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To keep your jacket performing at its best, follow these care instructions:

Washing: Machine wash on a cool setting with mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can degrade the DWR coating.
Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources to preserve the membrane integrity.
Branding: When applying screen prints or vinyl transfers, ensure the heat press settings are compatible with 100% polyester materials to avoid scorching.
Storage: Hang the jacket on a sturdy hanger to maintain its shape and ensure the shockcord at the hem is not kept under excessive tension when stored for long periods.
