The recommended tracking force is 4 grams. It can be used within a range of 3 grams to 5 grams, but 4 grams is optimal for performance and record longevity.

This is a replacement stylus unit for Reloop/Ortofon Concorde and OM series cartridges. It does not connect directly to a turntable; it must be mounted on a compatible cartridge body first.

A spherical stylus has a round tip, offering good durability and resistance to skipping, making it ideal for DJing and scratching. An elliptical stylus has a more refined shape for higher fidelity playback, generally preferred for casual listening.

Stylus life varies based on usage and care, but a common recommendation is to replace it every 600-1000 hours of playback. For DJs, it's wise to inspect it regularly and replace it if you notice any degradation in sound quality or visible wear.

While engineered by Ortofon and offering good sound quality, its spherical profile is optimized for DJ use. For critical hi-fi listening, an elliptical or more advanced stylus profile might be preferred.

Use a dedicated stylus brush. Gently brush the stylus from the back to the front (the direction the record groove moves) a few times. Avoid side-to-side or front-to-back brushing.

Ensure the stylus is correctly and securely seated in the cartridge. Check that the cartridge connections are clean and properly attached to the tonearm wires. Verify the tracking force and anti-skate settings.

Increase the tracking force gradually within the recommended 3g-5g range, aiming for 4g. Ensure the anti-skate is properly set. Check for vibrations or an uneven turntable surface.

Visually inspect the stylus tip. If there is visible damage or bending, the stylus should be replaced immediately to prevent record damage.
