To clean, wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. For more thorough cleaning, use a specialized leather cleaner. Regularly apply black shoe polish to maintain the leather's appearance and protection. Allow shoes to air dry naturally if they get wet.
Yes, these shoes are specifically designed for everyday school wear. Their durable leather construction, comfortable fit, and robust rubber sole make them ideal for the demands of school life, from classrooms to playgrounds.
The leather upper provides some natural resistance to light moisture, but these shoes are not fully waterproof. For wet weather, consider applying a waterproof spray suitable for leather, but avoid heavy rain and puddles.
When fastening, ensure the foot is fully inserted into the shoe. Pull the straps firmly across the foot until snug, but not overly tight. There should be no significant gaps, and the foot should feel secure without being constricted, allowing for natural movement.
The soles are made from durable rubber, designed to offer excellent grip and withstand significant wear and tear over time. They are built for the active environment of school and playground use.
While durable and comfortable for general school activities, these shoes are not specifically designed for high-impact sports or athletic performance. For sports, dedicated athletic footwear is recommended to provide appropriate support and cushioning.
The hook-and-loop fasteners may have accumulated lint or debris. Clean both sides of the strap thoroughly with a stiff brush or an old toothbrush to restore adhesion.
Ensure the correct size has been purchased. Leather shoes often require a short 'break-in' period to conform to the foot. Wear them for short periods initially. If discomfort persists, check if the shoe width (regular) is suitable for the wearer's foot, or consult a professional for a fit assessment.
Minor scuffs can often be buffed out with a soft cloth and a dab of black shoe polish. For deeper marks, apply shoe polish generously, let it dry, then buff to a shine. Regular polishing helps prevent and minimize the appearance of scuffs.
Squeaking can sometimes come from friction between parts of the shoe or between the shoe and the foot. Try sprinkling a small amount of talcum powder inside the shoe, under the insole, or on the sole, to reduce friction. Ensure the shoes are completely dry.
