Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Putting on your UltraBoost 1.0 is straightforward. Simply slip your foot into the flexible Primeknit upper. For an optimal fit, ensure the laces are snug but not overly tight. You can experiment with different lacing techniques to customize the feel:
- Standard Lacing: Provides balanced pressure across the foot.
- Runner's Loop: Can help lock the heel in place and prevent slippage.
Ensure there's about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe for comfort during activity.
Compatibility
The UltraBoost 1.0 is highly versatile:
- Running: Ideal for road running, track training, and treadmill workouts.
- Gym: Suitable for general fitness, cardio, and light weightlifting.
- Casual: A perfect choice for everyday wear, commuting, and leisure due to its comfort and stylish design.
Note: While durable, these shoes are not designed for extreme off-road trail running, muddy conditions, or sports requiring aggressive lateral movements like basketball or tennis, which may lead to premature wear or inadequate support.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your UltraBoost 1.0:
- Cleaning the Upper: Gently wipe the Primeknit upper with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and cold water. Avoid harsh detergents or scrubbing brushes which can damage the knit.
- Cleaning the Midsole/Outsole: Use a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and mild soap solution to clean the Boost midsole and rubber outsole. Remove any trapped debris or dirt.
- Drying: Always air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., radiators). Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain shape.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles periodically to air them out. Using shoe deodorizers or baking soda packets can help absorb odors.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
Do NOT machine wash or machine dry your UltraBoost shoes, as this can damage the materials and adhesive.
