First, the wedge is crafted through metal injection molding (MIM) using a proprietary blend of metals to precisely dial in performance and deliver an unprecedented feel at impact. Second, tungsten weighting in the topline naturally flights the ball down, increasing spin and control on approach shots. Combine these revolutionary advancements with the most tour-tested, tour-validated shapes in Callaway's history, and the Platinum is unquestionably the company's most groundbreaking wedge to date. Callaway Opus Platinum Wedges - Features: Higher toe peak, radius in the leading edge, and easier hosel transitions for Callaway's best wedge shape ever. MIM'ed construction with proprietary metals delivers uncompromised precision and incredible feel. Tungsten in the topline lowers launch to provide more control and spin into the green. Spin Gen Face Technology with more face grooves for increased spin across the hitting surface, offset groove-in-groove for spin when opening the face and maintaining spin rates in poor lies and wet conditions, and an aggressive face blast for spin on partial shots. Two grinds available (S, Z). S Grind: Standard medium-width sole with a slight ribbon at the back and moderate heel relief to keep the leading edge low through impact; the most popular option for a wide variety of conditions and swings. Z Grind: Tri-level sole with an aggressive leading-edge chamfer that acts as a skid plate for enhanced turf interaction; chamfer also reduces digging, making this a more playable low-bounce grind; versatile around the course with optimized bounce for each loft. Shaft: Dynamic Gold MID 115 Gunmetal / Wedge. Stock Grip: Golf Pride MCC Black/Grey (50g). Authorised Callaway Retailer. Callaway Opus Platinum Chrome Golf Wedge - Steel Breaking new ground in club design is a rarity, but the Opus Platinum Golf Wedges achieve just that. These Callaway Wedges represent a significant leap in technology, combining innovations in Metal Injection Molding (MiM) and tungsten integration to deliver exceptional ball control. The MiM construction allows Callaway to achieve unparalleled precision in crafting these wedges, enhancing touch and feel precisely where golfers need it. Additionally, tungsten is strategically integrated into the top edge, lowering trajectory to provide greater control and spin on the greens. MIM CONSTRUCTION FOR PRECISE FEEL The Opus Platinum is created through Metal Injection Molding (MiM) using a unique, patented metal blend. This precise method fine-tunes both performance and feel, delivering exceptional wedge performance that truly embodies the Opus Platinum name. TUNGSTEN PLACEMENT FOR A LOWER, MORE CONTROLLED TRAJECTORY Utilising tungsten in the upper edge enables us to offer players a lower, more controlled trajectory, enhancing both control and spin on the greens. SPIN GEN FACE TECHNOLOGY FOR TOUR-LEVEL SPIN Spin Gen Face Technology improves spin and control in your wedges by integrating three essential components on the face: a new tighter pitch that adds more grooves, an offset groove-in-groove design for better spin when the face is opened, and a new aggressive face blast that offers superior spin and grip on partial shots. Together, these elements produce precise, Tour-level spin. CERTIFIED BY THE TOUR Opus wedges represent the most extensively tested and approved shapes by Callaway in Tour history. Featuring a taller face, a more rounded sole, and an evolved hosel across the entire range, Opus stands as our finest wedge design ever crafted.
