Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle and its base from the packaging.
- Clean: Before first use, wipe the exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth. Fill the kettle with clean water to the `MAX` level.
- First Boil: Boil the water and then discard it. Repeat this process once more to ensure all manufacturing residues are removed.
- Placement: Place the kettle on a flat, stable surface, away from the edge of the countertop and out of reach of children.
Compatibility
This kettle is designed for standard household electrical outlets. Ensure your power supply matches the kettle's voltage requirements as specified in the product manual. It's universally compatible with standard kitchen environments, requiring only a power outlet.
Care & Maintenance
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the finish.
- Filter Maintenance: The washable anti-limescale filter should be removed and rinsed under running water regularly, especially if you live in a hard water area. For stubborn deposits, a soft brush can be used.
- Descaling: Limescale can affect performance and taste. Descale your kettle regularly (e.g., monthly in hard water areas, less frequently in soft water areas) using a commercial descaling solution or a natural alternative like diluted white vinegar or lemon juice. Always follow the descaler's instructions carefully, ensuring thorough rinsing afterward.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the kettle is empty and dry. Store it on its base, or in a cupboard if preferred.
