Setup, Compatibility & Care
The Portwest DX4 Winter Jacket requires no specific setup upon purchase; it is ready to wear. It is designed for compatibility with various workwear and outdoor attire. For care and maintenance, follow these guidelines to preserve its performance and longevity:
- Washing: Machine wash at 40°C (104°F) with mild soap. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and fabric integrity.
- Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting or hang dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources. High heat can degrade the fabric and waterproof coating.
- Ironing: Do not iron the jacket. If creases are present after washing, a low-heat steam may be used sparingly, keeping the iron away from direct contact with the fabric.
- Cleaning: For minor dirt or stains, a damp cloth can often be used for spot cleaning. Ensure the fabric is completely dry before storing.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged compression, which can affect the insulation and shape of the jacket.
