The ASICS Gel-NYC 2.0 trainers are primarily designed for everyday use and light walking. While they incorporate running-inspired DNA and cushioning, they are not intended for high-performance running activities. For dedicated running, ASICS offers specialized running shoe models.

Gently brush the suede with a suede brush to remove surface dirt. For stains, use a suede eraser or a slightly damp cloth with a very mild soap solution, then allow to air dry completely before brushing again.

The Gel-NYC 2.0 builds upon the original by refining the design with updated cushioning (FF Blast™ Plus) and integrating features inspired by the GEL-1050 model for a contemporary look and feel, while maintaining the core elements of comfort and everyday wearability.

It is not recommended to machine wash these trainers, as it can damage the materials, particularly the suede overlays and cushioning systems. Hand washing or spot cleaning is the preferred method.

For everyday comfort, standard athletic or casual socks work well. If you find the fit slightly snug, consider thinner socks. The breathable mesh upper will help manage moisture regardless of sock type.

The Gel-NYC 2.0 features a Trusstic System® for midfoot stability. While they provide a comfortable foundation for everyday wear, individuals requiring significant arch support might consider adding custom or over-the-counter insoles.

Try wearing them with thinner socks or ensure you have the correct size. Break them in gradually with short periods of wear. If discomfort persists, they may not be suitable for your foot shape.

Use a dedicated suede brush or eraser to gently lift the nap and remove marks. For persistent dirt, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used cautiously, followed by air drying and brushing.

The FF Blast™ Plus cushioning and GEL® technology are designed for durability, but cushioning can naturally reduce with extensive use. Consider rotating with other footwear if used daily for demanding activities.

The rubber outsole provides good traction, but like all footwear, grip can be compromised on very wet or slick surfaces. Ensure the outsole is clean and free from debris.
