These shoes are designed for comfort with a padded lining and footbed. Standard dress socks, casual socks, or even no-show socks can be worn, depending on your preference and the occasion. Avoid excessively thick socks that might make the fit too snug.

The Craftwell Step features rubber inserts for enhanced grip, which can be helpful in wet conditions. However, the leather upper is not waterproof. While they can handle light rain, prolonged exposure to heavy rain is not recommended without proper leather waterproofing treatment.

You can clean the EVA midsole with a damp cloth and mild soap. Gently scrub away any dirt or scuff marks. Wipe clean with a fresh damp cloth and allow to air dry.

The Craftwell Step features twin stretch-panel inserts which offer some flexibility. However, they are generally designed for standard width feet. If you have significantly wide feet, trying them on first is recommended to assess comfort.

It is recommended to condition the leather upper every 3-6 months, or more frequently if the shoes are worn regularly in dry or harsh conditions, to maintain the leather's quality and appearance.

The leather upper and internal padding may require a short break-in period. Wear them for short durations initially and gradually increase wear time. The stretch panels should help them adapt.

Ensure the rubber inserts on the heel and toe are clean. Dirt or debris can affect their grip. If wear is significant, consider replacement if possible.

Apply a suitable leather conditioner to restore moisture and shine. Use sparingly and follow product instructions. Allow to dry before wearing.

Ensure the shoe is fully opened by pulling back on the heel tab. If resistance persists, the shoe might be too narrow for your foot width, or the break-in period may not be complete.
