Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup & First Use
- Unboxing: Carefully remove the trainers from their packaging (box provided).
- Lacing: Ensure the laces are securely and evenly tied. Adjust for a comfortable, snug fit, not too tight or too loose.
- Initial Wear: Wear them for short periods initially to allow the leather to soften and mold to your feet. This helps prevent discomfort during the break-in period.
Compatibility
- Wardrobe: These trainers are highly versatile. They pair well with a range of casual wear like jeans, chinos, and shorts. For a smart-casual look, combine them with tailored trousers, knitwear, or a blazer.
- Occasion: Ideal for daily wear, social gatherings, city trips, and smart-casual office environments. Not recommended for strenuous athletic activities.
Care & Maintenance
Proper care is crucial for maintaining the polished leather and extending the life of your BOSS Bulton Runn Trainers.
- Regular Cleaning: After each wear, gently wipe down the leather upper with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. For deeper cleaning, use a dedicated leather cleaner.
- Polishing: To maintain the shine of the polished leather, use a high-quality black shoe polish periodically. Apply in thin layers with a soft cloth and buff to a lustrous finish.
- Conditioning: Leather can dry out over time. Apply a leather conditioner every few weeks or months (depending on use) to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.
- Water Protection: While leather offers some natural resistance, consider using a leather protector spray to guard against water stains and spills, especially in wet weather.
- Drying: If the trainers get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and maintain their shape. Allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources.
- Storage: When not in use, store your trainers in their original box or a shoe bag in a cool, dry place. Using shoe trees can help maintain their shape and absorb moisture.
- Sole Care: Regularly check the rubber sole for embedded stones or debris and remove them to prevent damage.
