Setup
- Rack Installation: Install the UPS into a standard 19-inch rack using the provided mounting hardware.
- Power Connection: Connect the UPS to a dedicated power outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded and meets the UPS's power requirements.
- Device Connection: Connect your critical equipment to the battery-protected outlets on the UPS.
- Network Configuration: Connect the UPS to your network using an Ethernet cable and configure the network settings via the LCD or web interface.
- Software Installation: Install the PowerChute Personal Edition software on your connected devices for monitoring and automated shutdown.
Compatibility
The APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT5KRMXLI is compatible with a wide range of devices, including:

Ensure that the total power draw of connected devices does not exceed the UPS's output capacity (5 kVA / 4500W).
Care
- Battery Maintenance: Regularly inspect the batteries and replace them as needed (typically every 3-5 years). Use genuine APC replacement batteries (APCRBC140) for optimal performance.
- Environmental Considerations: Operate the UPS within the specified temperature and humidity range (0 - 40°C, 0-95% humidity). Avoid placing the UPS in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
- Regular Testing: Perform periodic self-tests to ensure the UPS is functioning correctly. Schedule these tests through the LCD panel or the PowerChute software.
- Firmware Updates: Keep the UPS firmware up-to-date to benefit from the latest features and security patches. Firmware updates can be performed remotely via the network interface.
