Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are tight but comfortable, providing a secure fit without restricting circulation. The asymmetrical Flyknit collar will conform to your ankle for a locked-down feel.
- Break-In Period: Like most high-performance boots, a short break-in period during practice sessions is recommended to allow the materials to mold to your foot shape for optimal comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are specifically designed for Firm Ground (FG) surfaces. This means natural grass pitches that are dry or slightly damp. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very wet/muddy (SG) pitches is not recommended, as it can damage the boots and reduce performance or cause injury.
Care
- Post-Match Cleaning: After every use, gently brush off loose dirt and mud from the soleplate and upper. Use a damp cloth with mild soap to wipe down the surface. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.
- Drying: Air dry your boots at room temperature. Do not expose them to direct sunlight, radiators, or tumble dryers, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Storage: Store them in a cool, dry place, ideally with boot trees or crumpled newspaper inside to help maintain their shape and absorb any residual moisture.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Never machine wash your football boots, as this can severely damage the structure and integrity of the materials.
