Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Door: Ensure your internal door is between 30mm and 45mm thick. If you're replacing existing handles, remove the old hardware.
- Position the Spindle: Insert the 8mm spindle through the latch mechanism in the door, ensuring it's centered.
- Attach the Handles: Place one handle on each side of the door, aligning the handle's square hole with the spindle and the pre-drilled holes on the backplate with the door surface.
- Secure with Screws: Use the four provided fixing screws to firmly attach the handles to the door. Tighten them evenly to ensure the handles are flush and stable. Do not overtighten.
- Test Operation: Check that both handles operate smoothly and fully retract the latch when pressed down.
Compatibility
- Door Type: Designed exclusively for internal doors.
- Door Thickness: Compatible with doors 30mm to 45mm in thickness.
- Latches: Engineered to match the range of available tubular latches. Ensure your existing or new latch is compatible with an 8mm spindle.
Care & Maintenance
These handles are constructed to be resistant to rust and tarnishing, minimizing the need for extensive care. To maintain their elegant appearance:
- Cleaning: Simply wipe the handles with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher marks, a mild soap solution can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, dry cloth.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the satin finish.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check the tightness of the fixing screws and spindle to ensure the handles remain secure and fully functional. Tighten if necessary.
