The Berghaus Expeditor Active AQ is designed for female outdoor enthusiasts who need the rugged protection of a hiking boot in a lighter, more agile shoe format. Perfect for countryside walks and long-distance trails, it offers excellent breathability and waterproof reliability, though users should note that the low-cut design provides less ankle support compared to traditional high-top hiking boots.

Yes, they feature an AQ waterproof lining designed to keep your feet dry in rain and damp conditions.
These are designed for active hiking and countryside walks; they are not intended for high-altitude technical climbing or rock scrambling.
The shoes come with an OrthoLite footbed that includes anti-microbial protection to help manage odor.
No, they are specifically constructed to be light and flexible to ensure agility on the trail.
Brush off loose mud once dry and wipe with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
While the shoes are flexible, we recommend wearing them on short walks to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape before embarking on a long journey.
Ensure you are wearing moisture-wicking synthetic or wool socks rather than cotton, which traps sweat.
Check the soles for embedded debris or wear and clean with a stiff brush to restore the grip of the OPTI-STUD pattern.
Check that the laces are tensioned correctly across the bridge of the foot to prevent shifting, or consider replacing the OrthoLite insert if it has compressed.
Before hitting the trails, ensure you have the correct fit for your foot size (UK 8). The shoes are compatible with standard synthetic or wool hiking socks. For maintenance, remove mud after each use by brushing it off once dried. If the exterior gets very dirty, use a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid machine washing as this can damage the waterproof membrane. Ensure the shoes air-dry naturally at room temperature away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp materials or cause adhesives to fail prematurely.
