FAQs

Is this jacket waterproof?

The jacket is water-repellent, meaning it can withstand light rain and snow, but it is not a fully seam-sealed waterproof rain jacket.

Can this be worn as a standalone jacket?

Yes, it is excellent as a standalone piece in mild to cool, dry conditions, or as a mid-layer under a shell during heavy storms.

How do I pack the jacket?

The jacket is designed to be folded or stuffed into its included or integrated pouch for easy transport.

What is the primary material used?

The exterior and construction are primarily high-quality nylon ripstop.

Does it have a hood?

The Hers model features a high collar design rather than a hood for a streamlined fit under ski helmets.

Troubleshooting

Water-repellency seems to be fading

Apply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray specifically designed for synthetic technical fabrics after cleaning to restore the water-shedding properties.

Zipper is sticking

Use a specialized zipper lubricant or rub a graphite pencil tip along the teeth to improve movement.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Moncler Grenoble piece, follow these guidelines:

Storage: When not in use, ensure the jacket is completely dry before folding it into its packable pouch to prevent mold or odors.
Cleaning: Always follow the internal care label instructions. Generally, use a delicate cycle with a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can degrade the water-repellent coating.
Layering: The jacket is cut for an athletic fit; it is best worn over a moisture-wicking base layer and under a waterproof shell for maximum utility in severe weather.
Maintenance: Regularly check the zip pockets and front zipper for debris or snow buildup to keep the hardware operating smoothly.
