FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

The Air Max TL 2.5 is designed primarily as a lifestyle trainer for all-day comfort rather than a high-performance running shoe.

How should I clean the white or light-coloured textile parts?

Use a mild detergent mixed with water and a soft cloth, dabbing gently rather than scrubbing to prevent fabric fraying.

Does the size fit true to standard Nike sizing?

Yes, these generally follow standard Nike sizing; however, the structured overlays provide a snugger fit than mesh-only trainers.

What is the best way to prevent the Air unit from puncturing?

Avoid walking on sharp debris and ensure you do not step on nails or glass. The unit is durable but not indestructible.

Can I put these in the washing machine?

No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and the Air unit. Always clean by hand.

Troubleshooting

Creasing in the leather overlays

Use a shoe tree when not in use to help the material maintain its shape.

Difficulty keeping the trainers clean

Apply a water and stain repellent spray suitable for leather and textiles immediately after purchase.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent long-term comfort from full-length Air unit
Versatile vintage design fits modern street style
Padded collar provides superior ankle support
Easy to put on with the integrated heel tab

Cons

Leather elements may scuff if not protected
May require a break-in period for the structured overlays
Specific colourways may be harder to clean than solid black models

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Air Max TL 2.5 trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:

Fit: Ensure you use the heel pull tab to avoid crushing the back collar, which helps maintain the structural integrity of the heel cup.
Cleaning: Wipe away dirt from the leather overlays using a soft, dry cloth. For tougher stains on the textile portions, use a mild soap and a soft-bristled brush.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the leather from cracking or the colours from fading.
Compatibility: These trainers are designed for standard adult foot widths; if you use custom orthotics, ensure you remove the factory insole first to maintain proper foot volume.
