Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Birkenstocks last, avoid submerging them in water or leaving them in extreme heat, as this can degrade the cork-latex bond. When you first wear them, use the adjustable buckle to set a fit that feels snug but not constricting. For care, use a soft-bristle brush specifically designed for suede to remove surface dust. To clean stains, use a dry suede eraser rather than liquid cleaners to prevent water spotting. Because these utilize a regular-width footbed, they are compatible with most adult foot shapes, though the suede material will stretch slightly over time to accommodate wider feet.
