Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The B17 is designed for a 60-degree angled riding position.
- Loosen the seat post clamp and insert the saddle rail.
- Adjust the saddle's height and angle to your preference.
- Ensure the saddle is level or slightly tilted downwards for optimal comfort.
- Tighten the seat post clamp securely.
Compatibility: The B17 is compatible with most bicycle seat posts that use a standard two-rail clamp system. Check the clamp's compatibility before installation.
Care: Proper care extends the life and comfort of your B17.
- Cleaning: Wipe the leather with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Conditioning: Apply Brooks Proofide Leather Dressing periodically to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking. Apply the dressing to the underside as well.
- Protection: Protect the saddle from excessive moisture and direct sunlight when not in use.
- Break-in: New saddles require a break-in period. Ride the saddle regularly, allowing the leather to mold to your shape.
