Setup
- Preparation: Ensure you have all necessary components (WM2V trap, fittings, and tools). Turn off the water supply to the appliance.
- Connection: Connect the appliance discharge hose to the inlet of the WM2V. Connect the outlet of the WM2V to the drainpipe, ensuring a secure and watertight seal. Use appropriate sealant if required.
- Positioning: Position the trap correctly to allow for proper drainage, and ensure the swivel allows for the appliance to be positioned with ease. Avoid sharp bends in the discharge hose.
- Testing: Turn on the water supply and run the washing machine or dishwasher through a cycle to check for leaks.

The McAlpine WM2V is compatible with:
- Washing machines
- Dishwashers
- Plastic, copper, and lead pipes
Care
- Regular Inspections: Check for leaks periodically.
- Cleaning: Remove and clean the trap periodically to remove debris (hair, lint, etc.).
- Maintenance: Ensure that all connections remain secure and free from leaks. Ensure no chemicals are used that may damage the product.
