The jacket is designed to provide lightweight warmth and wind resistance, functioning effectively as a layering piece or a standalone jacket in mild conditions.

The jacket has a water-repellent DWR finish, which helps shed light rain and moisture, but it is not fully waterproof. It is best used in dry or mildly wet conditions, or layered under a waterproof outer shell.

Machine wash cold with like colors, using powder detergent. Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or iron the jacket. Do not dry clean.

The loop on the back of the jacket has a snap that allows it to be secured to compatible outer jackets from The North Face, creating a more integrated and secure layering system.

It uses synthetic insulation, which offers warmth even when slightly damp and is generally easier to care for than down.

While it offers warmth, it's best suited for mild to cool temperatures. For very cold weather, it is intended to be used as a mid-layer under a warmer, more insulated outer jacket.

The body is made of 100% nylon, the lining is 100% polyester, and it is filled with synthetic insulation.

Ensure the fabric is not caught in the zipper. Gently try to move the zipper up and down. If it persists, apply a small amount of graphite (from a pencil lead) or a specialized zipper lubricant to the teeth.

Consider layering the jacket over a warmer base layer or wearing it under a more protective outer shell for added insulation and wind/water protection.

The DWR finish can wear off over time. Follow the care instructions for washing, and consider applying a DWR re-treatment spray after cleaning to restore water repellency.

Verify that the outer jacket is designed to be compatible with The North Face snap-system. Ensure both the snap and the loop are clean and free of debris.
