The Mountain Warehouse Torrent Waterproof Jacket is an ideal travel companion for active adults who need a dependable, lightweight outer layer for unpredictable weather. It provides the key benefit of reliable moisture protection through a 2,000mm waterproof rating and breathable fabric, though its performance is best suited for moderate downpours rather than extreme, prolonged storm conditions.

It is a lightweight shell and does not provide thermal insulation. It is best used as a rain layer over a sweater or fleece in milder temperatures.
Machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle. Do not use biological detergents or fabric softeners.
No, this model features two external side pockets for storing your essentials.
The jacket comes with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.
As a lightweight, waterproof synthetic fabric, there is some audible movement, but it is generally quiet compared to heavy-duty rubberized rain gear.
The 2,000mm rating is designed for moderate rain. For prolonged heavy downpours, the outer fabric may saturate; try re-applying a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray.
Ensure you are not wearing heavy, non-wicking layers underneath. The breathability works best when moisture can pass through from a base layer.
To keep your Torrent Jacket in top condition, ensure you adjust the cuffs and hood only when necessary to maintain the integrity of the toggles and fasteners. When washing, use a gentle cycle with a mild detergent—avoid fabric softeners, as these can strip the waterproof coating. Always allow the jacket to air dry completely before folding it back into your pack to prevent mold or mildew buildup. If the jacket loses its water-repellent finish over time, you can apply a standard wash-in reproofing treatment to restore the 2,000mm waterproof rating.
