Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the kettle from its packaging.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, handwash the interior and exterior of the kettle with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely.
Compatibility
The Le Creuset Kone Kettle is exceptionally versatile and compatible with all hob types, including:
- Gas hobs
- Electric hobs
- Ceramic hobs
- Induction hobs
- Cast iron stoves (e.g., Aga)
Ensure the kettle's base is centered on the heat source to maximize efficiency.
Care
- Handwash Only: The kettle must be handwashed. Do not place it in a dishwasher, as this can damage the enamel finish.
- Gentle Cleaning: Use a soft sponge or cloth with warm, soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh scrubbing pads that can scratch the enamel.
- Drying: After washing, thoroughly dry the kettle, especially the interior and the spout, to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.
- Descaling: Periodically descale the kettle, particularly in hard water areas, to maintain performance. Use a specialized kettle descaling solution or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio). Allow it to sit for an hour, then rinse thoroughly multiple times.
- Storage: Store the kettle in a dry place. Ensure it is completely dry before storing to prevent any moisture-related issues.
