Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before First Use
Upon receiving your Speedo Aquashorts, inspect them for any manufacturing defects. Ensure the hygiene label is intact, especially if you anticipate a need for return. While there's no complex 'setup', familiarizing your junior with the internal drawcord for adjustment is a good first step.
Compatibility
These aquashorts are designed for swimming in various environments:
- Swimming Pools: Excellent choice due to `CREORA® HighClo™` for chlorine resistance.
- Beaches/Open Water: Suitable for ocean swimming, though rinsing immediately after saltwater exposure is crucial.
- Lessons/Training: Durable enough for regular use in swimming lessons and training sessions.
Care Instructions
Proper care will significantly extend the life of your aquashorts. Follow these guidelines:
- Rinse Immediately: After every use, rinse thoroughly in cool, fresh water. This removes chlorine, salt, and sunscreen residues.
- Hand Wash Recommended: For best results, hand wash with a mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach.
- No Machine Washing: Machine washing, especially with hot water, can damage the fabric and elastic properties.
- Do Not Wring: Gently squeeze out excess water. Wringing can stretch and damage the fibers.
- Dry Flat in Shade: Lay flat to dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Direct sunlight and high heat (like radiators or tumble dryers) can degrade the fabric and elastic.
- Avoid Rough Surfaces: Be mindful of sitting or rubbing against abrasive surfaces, as this can cause pilling or snagging.
- Hygiene Label: Keep the hygiene label attached if there's any chance of returning the product, as specified by the return policy.
