Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert two AAA alkaline or rechargeable batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Mount to Camera: Slide the Godox iM30's hot shoe foot into the camera's hot shoe mount until it clicks securely.
- Power On: Press the power button to turn the flash on. The indicator light will show it's ready.
Compatibility
The Godox iM30 is designed to be compatible with cameras featuring a standard ISO hot shoe mount. This includes most mirrorless cameras and many film cameras. It functions as a manual flash, meaning it will fire when the camera's shutter is released but does not communicate exposure data with the camera (no TTL).
Care
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the flash with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For the lens or reflector, use a lens-cleaning cloth.
- Storage: Store the flash in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Remove batteries if storing for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Battery Management: Use high-quality AAA batteries. If using rechargeable batteries, ensure they are fully charged before use.
