While the Helly Tech® membrane offers waterproofing, these shoes are primarily designed for protection and comfort in general working conditions. For extreme cold, consider adding insulated socks.
Replacement laces for the BOA® Fit System are typically available from the BOA® manufacturer or specialized retailers if the original laces become damaged.
If you typically find standard-width shoes too tight, experience pinching or pressure on the sides of your feet, or have a naturally broader foot shape, the wide fit version is recommended for enhanced comfort.
The Helly Tech® membrane provides excellent water resistance, but prolonged submersion in deep water may eventually lead to water ingress. They are designed for protection against rain, puddles, and damp conditions.
Composite toes are made from non-metal materials like carbon fiber or Kevlar, making them lighter and non-conductive, which is advantageous in environments with electrical hazards or metal detectors. Check for obvious punctures or damage to the Helly Tech® membrane. Ensure laces are fully tightened and the tongue is properly seated to prevent water entry from the top. Prolonged submersion may exceed the membrane's capabilities.
Re-adjust the BOA® Fit System for a more even distribution of pressure. Ensure you have selected the correct size and width. Try wearing them with appropriate socks.
The composite toe is designed for protection and may feel different from un-toed shoes. Ensure the fit is correct; a well-fitting shoe should not cause undue restriction.
Setup: These shoes are ready to wear out of the box. Ensure the BOA® Fit System dial is fully released before inserting your foot. Once comfortable, turn the dial clockwise until a secure fit is achieved. To release, pull the dial outwards.
