Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Installation requires a rivet nut tool (also known as a blind rivet nut setter). Select a drill bit size appropriate for the pre-drilled hole (refer to tool manufacturer's specifications for hole diameter). Insert the rivet nut into the hole, thread it onto the rivet nut tool, and engage the tool to set the rivet nut. Ensure the tool is set to the correct torque to avoid over-straining the nut.
Compatibility: These M6 rivet nuts are compatible with standard M6 machine screws. They can be installed in a wide range of materials including steel, aluminum, plastic, and composites, provided the material is thick enough to support the rivet nut's body and has been pre-drilled to the correct diameter.
Care: To maintain performance, keep the rivet nuts clean and dry. Avoid exposing them to harsh chemicals or prolonged moisture, especially if used in outdoor applications, to prevent corrosion. Regular checks for tightness are recommended for critical applications.
