MAC Small Eye Shadow - Gesso

Gesso has a matte finish, offering a pure, flat white color without shimmer or sparkle.

While primarily an eyeshadow, its matte white finish makes it suitable for subtle highlighting on areas like the brow bone or inner corner of the eye. For face highlighting, specific face highlighters are generally recommended.

Each MAC Small Eye Shadow compact contains 1.5 grams of product.

For an opaque line, use a fine-tipped, dampened eyeliner brush. Mix the Gesso with a drop of water or a mixing medium on the back of your hand to create a paste-like consistency, then apply.

The longevity of a compact depends on usage frequency. With daily use as an accent or highlight, it can last several months. Always check the 'period after opening' (PAO) symbol on the packaging, usually 24 months, for its recommended shelf life after opening.

Ensure your eyelid is prepped with an eyeshadow primer. For increased intensity, dampen your brush slightly before picking up the product or layer the shadow gradually.

Creasing is often due to natural oils on the eyelids. Apply an eyeshadow primer before application. You can also set the primer with a light dusting of translucent powder before applying the Gesso.

Use a clean, fluffy blending brush. Apply small amounts of product at a time and use circular motions to diffuse the color. Build up the intensity rather than applying too much at once.

Ensure your skin is moisturized but not oily before application. Apply with light pressure and blend well. If using wet, ensure the brush isn't overly saturated.
