The Accentor Sport 3 GORE-TEX® are designed with a standard fit. While they offer comfort, individuals with exceptionally wide feet may find them too narrow. Trying them on is the best way to determine fit.

These shoes offer excellent waterproofing and decent warmth for cool conditions. However, they are not insulated for heavy snow or extreme cold. For winter hiking, specialized insulated boots are recommended.

The GORE-TEX® membrane's effectiveness is best assessed by its performance. If your feet remain dry during wet conditions after proper care, it is functioning correctly. If water starts to penetrate, inspect the shoe for damage or wear.

The primary difference is the inclusion of the GORE-TEX® waterproof and breathable membrane in the Accentor Sport 3 GORE-TEX® model, providing superior protection against moisture compared to the standard version.

With proper care and minimal damage, the GORE-TEX® membrane can maintain its waterproof properties for the expected lifespan of the shoe, which is typically several years of regular use.

While they offer good traction and support, these shoes are primarily designed for hiking. For dedicated trail running, shoes with more flexibility and specialized cushioning might be more suitable.

Ensure the shoes are not submerged for extended periods, as extreme saturation can eventually permeate. Check for any damage to the GORE-TEX® membrane or seals. Ensure laces are tied securely to prevent water ingress from the top.

Clean the rubber sole of any accumulated mud, dirt, or debris that might be filling the tread pattern. Ensure the outsole is not excessively worn down. If worn, consider replacement.

Ensure the correct size and width are selected, as fit is crucial. Consider the thickness of socks used. Break in the shoes gradually on shorter walks before undertaking long hikes.
