Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use & Adjustments
Upon receiving your jacket, try it on and adjust it for optimal comfort and protection:
- Hood Adjustment: Locate the concealed adjusters around the hood. Pull gently to tighten around your face to seal out wind and rain, then release to loosen.
- Cuff Adjustment: Use the hook-and-loop fasteners on the cuffs to tighten them around your wrists, preventing cold air or rain from entering.
- Hem Adjustment: Use the drawcords at the hem to cinch the jacket closer to your body, trapping warmth and blocking drafts.
Compatibility
This jacket is designed for standalone protection in cold and wet conditions. Its regular fit allows for light to medium layering underneath, such as a base layer and a mid-fleece, without feeling overly restrictive. It pairs well with professional work trousers and waterproof over-trousers for full body protection.
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial to maintain the performance and longevity of your Regatta Professional Navigate Insulated Jacket. Always refer to the care label inside the garment for specific instructions.
- Washing: Machine wash cold (30°C) on a gentle cycle with a technical wash specific for waterproof breathable fabrics. Avoid biological detergents, fabric softeners, and bleach, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or line dry. If tumble drying, ensure it's on a very low setting to avoid melting or damaging the fabric. Once dry, you can reactivate the DWR finish by tumble drying on low heat for 20 minutes or by ironing on a very low setting with a towel between the iron and the fabric.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the jacket is completely dry before storage to prevent mildew.
