Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Identify Attachment Points: Locate the ends of your eyewear frames, typically near the temple tips where they rest behind your ears.
- Snap On: Gently but firmly press the snap-on mechanism of the leash onto the end of each frame arm. You should feel a distinct 'click' or a secure grip.
- Test Security: Lightly tug on the leash to ensure it is firmly attached to both sides of your eyewear. Adjust if it feels loose.
- Adjust Length (if applicable): If your leash features an adjustable slider, slide it to customize the fit and tightness around your neck.
Compatibility
The Oakley Leash Kit is designed as a universal eyewear leash that snaps onto the end of your frames. This means it is broadly compatible with most Oakley frames, as well as a significant number of eyewear from other brands that feature standard frame arm shapes. Its adaptable snap mechanism aims to provide a secure fit across various designs. If the frame arm is unusually thick or thin at the attachment point, the fit may vary.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: To clean the leash, gently wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, which could damage the fabric or plastic components.
- Drying: Allow the leash to air dry completely before reattaching it to your eyewear.
- Storage: When not in use, store the leash in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, to prolong its lifespan.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the snap-on mechanisms for any signs of wear or damage to ensure continued secure attachment.
