Centre Punch Set - Amtech - H0900

These punches are suitable for use on metal and wood. Avoid use on extremely hard materials.

Select the punch size based on the size of the hole or nail you are working with. The punch should create a divot that guides the drill or nail without being too large.

Wipe the punches clean after each use, store them in a dry place, and occasionally apply a light coat of oil.

Using the punch on excessively hard materials or excessive force can cause the tip to dull over time.

It is generally not recommended to sharpen these punches. If the tip becomes damaged, it is best to replace the punch for optimal performance.

The knurling provides a secure and comfortable grip, preventing the punch from slipping during use.

The punch should be held perpendicular to the surface being marked. This ensures an accurate and centered divot.

Strike the punch firmly, but avoid excessive force. The goal is to create a clear indentation without deforming the material.

This may be caused by striking too hard, or using on an inappropriate material. Replace the punch.

Ensure a firm grip on the knurled body. Make sure the punch is positioned perpendicular to the material surface.
