Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unroll: Carefully unroll your new Livabliss runner rug in your desired location.
- Flattening: It may have temporary creases from shipping. Reverse roll the rug (pile facing outwards) and leave it for a few hours, or place heavy objects (like books) on the corners and edges to help it settle flat. This process usually takes 1-2 days.
- Rug Pad (Recommended): For added safety and to prevent sliding, especially on hard floors, we highly recommend using a non-slip rug pad underneath. This also provides extra cushioning and helps protect your flooring.
Compatibility
This runner rug's classic, traditional, shabby chic oriental, and bohemian design makes it a versatile addition to various interior styles. Its blend of brown, beige, denim, and off-white tones can complement both warm and cool color palettes. It's suitable for:
- Rooms: Lounge, dining room, kitchen runner, corridor, office, bedroom, playroom, and especially hallways.
- Lifestyles: Ideal for homes with children and pets due to its durability and safety certifications.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure your Livabliss runner rug maintains its beauty and extends its lifespan, follow these simple care instructions:
- Regular Vacuuming: Vacuum regularly with a brush-roll-free attachment to remove dirt and dust. Avoid harsh rotating brushes, which can damage the pile.
- Spot Cleaning: For small floor rug stains or spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain. For tougher spots, use a mild detergent mixed with water or a specialized carpet cleaner. Test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area first.
- Professional Cleaning: For deep cleaning or stubborn stains, consider professional rug cleaning services every 1-2 years.
- Avoid Excessive Moisture: While resistant, avoid saturating the rug with water. Ensure it dries completely after cleaning to prevent mold or mildew.
- Rotate Regularly: Rotate your rug every 3-6 months to ensure even wear, especially in high-traffic areas.
