The Wavin OsmaSoil system is primarily used for the removal of sanitary waste from toilets, sinks, and other appliances, as well as for ventilation purposes within a building's drainage network.

Kitemark certification to BS EN 1453-1:2000 indicates that the product has been independently tested and certified to meet rigorous British and European standards for quality, safety, and performance in soil and drainpipe systems.

Recycore® Technology utilizes a high percentage of recycled PVC-U material in the pipe's construction, reducing the demand for virgin resources and lowering the product's overall environmental footprint, without compromising its performance.

While the system is designed for optimal performance with other Wavin Osma components, it is possible to connect to other systems using appropriate adaptors. Always ensure a secure and compliant connection.

Push-fit joints use a rubber ring seal within the socket for a quick, tool-free connection. Solvent weld joints require a specific PVC solvent cement to create a permanent, fused bond between the pipe spigot and fitting socket.

Pipes should be supported using appropriate pipe clips or brackets at recommended intervals (refer to Wavin installation guides) to prevent sagging and ensure the integrity of the joints. The spacing will depend on the pipe size and whether it is installed vertically or horizontally.

The Wavin OsmaSoil system, particularly the 110mm variant, is suitable for underground drainage applications when installed correctly according to manufacturer guidelines, including proper bedding and support.

Ensure the pipe is fully inserted into the socket and that the ring seal is correctly seated and undamaged. Re-lubricate and re-insert if necessary. Check for any debris within the socket.

Verify that the correct solvent cement for PVC-U was used and applied correctly to both surfaces. Ensure sufficient solvent was used and the joint was held firmly during the initial set time. Re-cut pipe and re-joint if necessary.

Use a sharp PVC pipe cutter or a fine-toothed saw specifically designed for plastic. Ensure a clean, square cut for proper joint fitting. Deburr and chamfer the cut end as per installation instructions.

Check for obvious obstructions at accessible points like access fittings. Use appropriate drain clearing tools cautiously. Ensure the system has adequate fall (gradient) to promote flow.
