This chest guard is designed for adult male mountain bikers seeking integrated protection and moisture management. Its key benefit is offering EN1621-1 Level 1 back protection and D3O® impact absorption in a low-profile, comfortable baselayer. A caveat is that no protective gear can entirely eliminate the risk of injury.

The guard provides EN1621-1 Level 1 back protection and features D3O® impact-absorbing inserts for the back, along with EVA foam on the chest and hips for additional protection.
Yes, the low-profile design is intended to be worn comfortably under most standard mountain bike jerseys.
You can machine wash it cold on a gentle cycle with a gentle detergent. It should be line dried. Do not bleach, iron, or dry clean.
Yes, the D3O® back insert is removable, which makes washing the garment easier.
This guard is primarily designed for impact protection. It does not offer significant abrasion resistance.
Yes, the D3O® foam is activated by body heat, softening to conform to your body for maximum comfort and protection.
The materials include 35% PU, 37% nylon, 8% polyester, and 20% EVA.
Ensure you have selected the correct size. The D3O® inserts are designed to soften and conform to your body heat, which may take a few minutes of riding. If still uncomfortable, consider a size up.
Ensure the garment is clean and free of detergent residue. Follow the recommended washing instructions carefully. Sweat and body oils can impede fabric performance if not washed out properly.
Body heat activates the D3O® polymer, making it softer and more conforming. Wear the guard for a short period, or during your ride, to allow your body heat to warm and soften the insert.
Setup: The Fox Baseframe Pro Sleeveless Chest Guard is designed for immediate use. Simply wear it as a baselayer under your mountain bike jersey. Ensure the guard fits snugly but comfortably against your body for optimal protection and performance.
Compatibility: This guard is compatible with most standard mountain bike jerseys. The D3O® back insert can be removed for washing.
