No, it is water-resistant. It is designed to handle light rain and showers, but will not keep you dry in heavy or prolonged downpours.
Yes, please check the care label on the inside of the garment for specific temperature settings, but generally, mild detergents and cool cycles are recommended.
No, the hood is integrated into the jacket design, though it is adjustable to ensure a snug fit.
Softshell material is chosen specifically for its flexibility, allowing for a good range of motion, which is ideal for cycling and active use.
It is not an insulated jacket. It works best as a wind-blocking outer layer over fleece or base layers in mild to cool temperatures.
The DWR coating has worn off. Wash the garment and apply a fresh DWR water-repellent spray treatment.
Ensure the ventilation areas are not covered and consider layering with moisture-wicking base layers instead of cotton.
To maintain the water-resistant properties of the jacket, ensure you follow the care label instructions specifically regarding DWR treatments. Avoid using heavy fabric softeners as they can clog the pores of the breathable membrane. When the jacket begins to lose its ability to bead water, reapply a standard DWR spray after cleaning. Store the jacket in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use to preserve the integrity of the synthetic materials.
