FAQs
Is the Saucony Ride Tr3 Gtx waterproof?
Yes, it features a GORE-TEX (GTX) lining, which provides a high level of water resistance and breathability.
Can I use these for hiking?
They are designed for various terrains and light trail use, though they are categorized as trainers rather than heavy-duty mountaineering boots.
How should I clean the exterior?
Use a soft brush to remove dirt and a damp cloth with mild soap; avoid machine washing to protect the membrane.
Does this shoe provide arch support?
The Ride series is known for its supportive midsole, which offers moderate arch support suitable for neutral gaits.
Are these true to size?
Saucony generally fits true to size; however, consider wearing the socks you plan to use with the shoes when testing them for the best fit.
Troubleshooting
Shoes feel tight after a long walk
Feet naturally swell during activity; ensure your laces are adjusted to accommodate expansion without restricting circulation.
Water-resistance seems to be declining
Over time, the DWR coating on the exterior may wear off. Apply a fabric-safe water-repellent spray specifically designed for waterproof footwear.
Insole slippage
Remove the insole, clean any debris from inside the shoe, and ensure it is fully dry before re-inserting.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Saucony Ride Tr3 Gtx lasts, follow these basic care steps:
- Breaking In: Wear the shoes for short periods indoors for the first few days to allow the upper materials and midsole to adapt to your foot shape.
- Cleaning: Remove excess dirt with a soft brush after outdoor use. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with mild soap; avoid submerging in water or using harsh detergents.
- Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can damage the GORE-TEX membrane and adhesive bonding.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place to maintain the integrity of the cushioning foam.
