Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation of the Hope RX Floating Disc Rotor requires a standard centerlock tool. Ensure the splined interface on your hub is clean and lightly greased before seating the rotor.
- Slide the rotor onto the centerlock splines.
- Install the lockring (sold separately) and tighten it to the manufacturer's recommended torque specification.
- Verify that the rotor does not contact the caliper body or chainstay, as the floating assembly may have different spacing requirements than standard rotors.
- Perform a 'bed-in' procedure by conducting several controlled stops from moderate speed to ensure optimal pad-to-rotor transfer.
Regularly inspect the rivets connecting the steel surface to the aluminum carrier for any looseness or damage. Keep the braking surface clean of oils and debris using an isopropyl alcohol solution to maintain stopping power.
