This Peter Storm Packable Hooded Jacket is designed for adult women seeking reliable protection from the elements during outdoor activities. Its primary benefit is its lightweight, packable design combined with effective waterproofing due to its 100% nylon 210T main fabric and PU coating. A potential consideration is that while it offers protection, it is a packable jacket and may not provide significant insulation for very cold conditions.

This jacket is designed primarily for rain and wind protection. While it can be layered over warm clothing, it does not have significant insulation and is not intended for very cold winter conditions on its own.
You can machine wash the jacket at 30 degrees Celsius, using a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach, fabric softener, and do not tumble dry or iron. Wash separately or with similar colours, and ensure all zippers and fasteners are closed before washing.
Packable means the jacket is designed to be folded or compressed into a small size, typically using an included stuff sack. This makes it easy to carry in a backpack or bag for unexpected weather changes.
The jacket features a PU coating over a 100% nylon fabric, providing protection against rain and wet weather. It is suitable for moderate rain, but may not withstand prolonged heavy downpours as effectively as higher-spec waterproofs.
Yes, the jacket offers several adjustment points. It has a cordlock toggle system on the hood, elasticated cuffs, and a cordlock system at the hem to allow you to customize the fit and seal out drafts.
The jacket is made from 100% Nylon 210T, which is coated with PU for water resistance.
The jacket utilizes a PU coating for water resistance. While this offers protection, it does not have a highly breathable membrane like some technical outdoor gear, so some internal condensation may occur during high-exertion activities.
Ensure the PU coating is intact and not damaged. If the jacket is old, the coating may have degraded. For minor issues, consider a fabric waterproofing spray suitable for synthetic materials.
Gently try to move the zipper. If it is still stuck, use a graphite pencil to rub the teeth of the zipper, or a small amount of bar soap or lip balm. Avoid forcing the zipper, which can cause damage.
Ensure the cordlock toggle is properly engaged. If it's not holding, inspect the cordlock mechanism for damage. You may need to replace the cordlock if it is faulty.
This could be due to internal condensation if worn in high humidity or during strenuous activity. Ensure you have adequate ventilation (if the design allows) and allow the jacket to air out after use. The fabric is water-resistant, not fully breathable like some technical shells.
Setup: This jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear upon purchase.
Compatibility: The jacket is designed for adult women and is suitable for a range of outdoor activities and general wear. It can be layered over other clothing for added warmth.
