Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Getting your Light Up Nutcracker Soldier ready for display is simple:
- Carefully unpack your Nutcracker Soldier from its packaging, ensuring all protective materials are removed.
- Locate the battery compartment, typically found on the back or base of the nutcracker.
- Insert 3 x AA batteries, paying close attention to the correct polarity (+/-) indicators within the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment securely.
- Switch the nutcracker to the `ON` position. The lights should immediately illuminate, signaling activation.
- The automatic timer will now activate. From this point, the lights will stay on for 4 hours, then turn off for 20 hours, repeating this cycle daily.
Compatibility
- This Light Up Nutcracker Soldier is designed exclusively for indoor decorative use. It is not rated for outdoor conditions and should be kept away from moisture and extreme temperatures.
- It is compatible with standard 1.5V AA batteries. Use alkaline batteries for best performance and lifespan.
Care and Maintenance
Proper care will ensure your nutcracker remains a cherished part of your holiday decor for years to come:
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the nutcracker with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to remove dust. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the hand-painted finish and wooden structure.
- Battery Replacement: When the LED lights appear dim or cease to function, it's time to replace the batteries. Always replace all 3 AA batteries at once with fresh ones; do not mix old and new batteries.
- Storage: When the holiday season ends, store the nutcracker in its original packaging or a protective box. Keep it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent potential corrosion.
- Handling: Due to its hand-painted nature and wooden construction, always handle the nutcracker with care to prevent chipping, scratches, or breakage.
