FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for high-arch feet?
Yes, the Gel-Cumulus series is generally well-regarded for neutral runners and often accommodates various arch heights comfortably.
Can I put these shoes in the washing machine?
It is recommended to avoid the washing machine, as the heat and agitation can damage the Gel units and glues; manual cleaning is safer.
Are these true to size?
The Asics Gel-Cumulus 26 typically fits true to standard UK sizing for the stated size 7.
How long should these trainers last?
Generally, running trainers should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles depending on your running surface and intensity.
Can I use my own orthotics with these shoes?
The standard insole is removable, which typically allows for the insertion of custom orthotic inserts.
Troubleshooting
Feeling pressure or discomfort at the top of the foot
Try adjusting your lacing pattern; using a 'window' or 'gap' lacing technique can relieve pressure on the bridge of the foot.
Slippage at the heel
Utilize the extra eyelet at the top of the shoe to perform a runner's loop (lock-down lacing) to secure the heel firmly.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Asics Gel-Cumulus 26 trainers last, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Fit Check: Ensure the size 7 UK fit aligns with your foot shape; always wear performance socks for an accurate feel.
- Cleaning: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove loose dirt from the outsole and midsole. For stubborn stains on the upper, use a cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
- Drying: Air dry the shoes in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid placing them near direct heat sources like radiators, as this can degrade the foam cushioning.
- Storage: Keep your trainers in a dry environment away from direct sunlight when not in use to prevent material discoloration or degradation.
