Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Phantom 6 boots is straightforward:
- Lacing: Ensure laces are securely tied to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. The asymmetric lacing system helps to maximize the striking surface.
- Break-in Period: While designed for comfort, a short break-in period of 1-2 light training sessions is recommended to allow the materials to fully adapt to your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Playing Surfaces: These boots are strictly designed for Firm Ground (FG) pitches, which are natural grass surfaces that are firm but not hard. Using them on artificial turf (AG) or very hard ground (HG) can lead to premature wear of the studs and potentially cause injury.
- Foot Type: The new shoe frame is more accommodating for a variety of foot types, particularly around the toe box.
- Age Group: Adult players.
Care
Proper care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Cleaning After Use: After every session, remove excess mud and dirt using a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Allow boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as this can damage the materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees or stuffing with newspaper to maintain shape.
- Soleplate Lacquer: Please note that the iridescent lacquer finish on the bottom of the boot's soleplate is purely cosmetic and may wear off during play. This is normal and will not affect the performance or durability of the product.
